Position: Primary School Teacher (Maternity Cover)

School Location: Islington

Responsibilities will include:

✔ Nurturing the healthy development of children's physical, social, and cognitive capacities.

✔ Ensuring good work and study habits are developed.

✔ Maintaining good discipline in the class to create a conducive learning environment.

✔ Setting appropriate boundaries of behavior and discipline.

✔ Caring for the physical environment of your class, including ordering supplies within an agreed budget.

✔ Organising class trips and excursions in line with the curriculum and school policy.

✔ Implementing and reviewing the school curriculum and attending relevant meetings.

✔ Collaborating with the School's SENCO and being familiar with IEP procedures.

We are looking for a candidate who:

✨ Has a deep commitment to Anthroposophy and the principles of Steiner Waldorf Education.

✨ Is prepared to attend training courses in First Aid, Food and Hygiene, SEN, Child protection, etc., as necessary.

✨ Possesses a working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.

✨ Has a solid understanding of Steiner Waldorf Education.

✨ Is committed to self-development and teaching development, open to feedback and constructive criticism.

✨ Demonstrates organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.

✨ Works well both independently and as part of a team, respecting each member's individuality and showing flexibility and adaptability.

✨ Is flexible and cooperative, even under the pressure of time and the multifarious demands of school life.

Must hold a DBS or apply for one.
